So let's get this party started!

When pintrest first came on the scene, I thought it was purely fashion items.  Being as I own nothing more fashionable than 2007, I ignored the invites and went on my way.

Then, I kept hearing "Pin this" "I pinned that" "Did you see what I pinned last night?" and finally I gave in to the dirty longing for more.

What is this?  This is a world full of delicious recipes, fabulous decor items, amazing crafts and adorable children.  It looks so easy!

I pinned slowly at first, cautiously.  I don't want to look too eager, I told myself.  No need to go crazy.  It got easier as time went on and then one day I realized "holy crap, I could actually make some of this stuff!".  If you pin on your computer and never follow through to try it yourself, did you actually pin it in the first place? :-)

Needless to say I married a cook because I'm not one.  My grandma has tried for years and my mom tried once or twice, but really, I can make a mean jack and coke but that's where the culinary skills stop.  Housekeeping isn't much better than that.

Hell, I'm lucky I managed to plan a wedding.

The first recipe flopped, then the second.

Then I decided "holy crap, people might enjoy reading about my failures".  So there you have it.  The story behind the story.  If you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at?

Come along with me while I try to avoid burning down our house and raising up our kid!
